These Days are No Longer "For The Birds"

...Even though it feels like my organs are trying to escape my belly.

There's a new roommate, Clarity is at the helm, and I'm back at making the Good Work. An album design is almost done. Army of Lovers #2 begs to be finished. New shadow puppet shows are gestating. Bills are slowly but surely being paid off. The Universe is licking its tummy.

Picture Show

Working Backwards:
My culinary hand was at work today-
The elegant and seductive boss of the year, Lydia Burns, poses near it:
And home
And the commute is defined by color humping a cold, lust-worthy gray:
On the train. Riding an hour both ways. The human Bernie brain reels and thinks of faces. Like Pat dressed up as his foxy hero:Then some time traveling back to 2002-2003:
Sat outside school while Geoff took a pinhole stereoscopic photo
The night power went out while boozin' it with Will. The lit candles laid ground for issue number 2 of An Army of Lovers Will Be Beaten:
Back home today and now: yea it's true - Pat really does paint amazing poets of the American West
The beautiful cowboy is dangling a dollar out there on his fishing line. I love you, infinite void. The world has got one or two things coming to it with men like us roaming the countryside. Strike us down.

All You Needed Was a Nap, Pumpkin

"Don't you hear? Don't you hear the dreadful voice that screams from the whole horizon, and that man usually calls silence?"

Monuments

Every Thanksgiving there is a reason to beat myself over the head. Tonight I ran full force into it. A few faces. Good intentions. And I'm all screams and tears. Think I'll lie down and let the cat crawl all over me. These terrible, sad, and anxious times are for the fucking birds. I am a dusty specter. Goodnight and no thanks. Tired as a hermit.

Larson vs Werk vs Laundry vs Poker Stills vs Sitting Still for at least one second

I'm unpleasantly too busy these days. And am most likely being unreliable to many people at once. Listing why & the related disappointments would be way too self indulgent (& embarrassing) so instead here is a song by Lucy Knisley that I will be plagiarizing for Book 2 of "An Army of Lovers Will Be Beaten" (Whenever it seems I get time to work on it) And an old sketch of Little Pebbles:

Yea Right Bernie, I Know What You're Thinking, I'm Not Falling For That - And I'm Not That Kind of Girl.

The contract I just signed:
which is related to Elizabeth McTernan

You should go see Dan Kerr-Hobert's current collaborative piece at the Neo-Futurarium. It's called Mr Fluxus and is a gentle romp through time & space:

TimeOut Chicago says: "Ephemeral and simple, personal and communal... worth the journey to discover that the 'Mr.' in 'Mr. Fluxus' is you." Aren't you going to listen to TimeOut Magazine?

The Human Body Explodes

These have been two very intense and traumatic weeks. A dear friend died when he shouldn't have, but he leaves a trail of unbelievable kindness and love.
My roommates and I are now the proud caretakers to the feisty Bucket, Michelle Perry's cat. I'm slaving away at ye ol' Army of Lovers, album design for ye ol' Matt Larson, and little shadow puppet shows abound. There are serious hopes to set animations to songs by Brad Smith, Lucy Knisley, and Matt Larson (each individually, some day)
