I whispered "peace out" to September this year with a 9-day, work-free, meditative bang. Partly spent lying down playing with cats, and partly revisiting the eternal Devil's Lake, it was a detox of the SOUL. Below are some fragments. Puke Puppet Brainstorms

And now for puppet design drafts for a new show by the wonderful Neo-Futurists. This show is called Beer, and it will heavily feature animation & puppets by yours truly. Another joint venture with the wonderful Dan Kerr-Hobert! January is right around the corner. Below, you'll find some drawings for a hat-full of puke that comes alive to become a young boy's friend/guide. We wonder if he out-grows the hat as a chair, at some point wearing it on his head:

Stars that fit into pentagons are a major part of the bloated graphic novel in progress, An Army of Lovers will be Beaten. So here I'm sharing some illustrations from Matila Ghyka's book The Geometry of Art and Life:

Plus one random Google Image search item that illustrates a fractal dodecahedron-sphere, much like how some theorize the universe is shaped. Enter one side and pop out the other. Well, if you were residual microwaves from the big bang at least.

Old David Foster Wallace did himself in Friday at the not-old age of 46. It's brought a very real tear to my eye.But along that there have been dwellings on beautiful things like the Megamouth Shark. The first recorded finding of one happened in Hawaii 1976, future home of one blessed Patrick Tianen:

And there is this Incredible Scottish Cow, found while casually looking for references to draw beautiful cows:
The world is a cornucopia of reasons to weep, whether for being all bummed out, astounded, or warmed by something as cute as a super harry cow.
